Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can grab your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific requirements on who can buy a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
